Unlocking the Tomb of the Stars
The Tomb of the Stars is a pivotal location in Jujutsu: Zero that serves as the foundation for late-game progression. By gaining access to this area, you unlock the ability to exchange Vows for higher tiers and utilize Infinity tokens to acquire rare clans like Toji, Kenjaku, and Tengen. If you are not playing as the Tengen Clan, you must complete a multi-stage questline provided by the Lazy Sorcerer NPC located near the main spawn.
Preparation is key to avoiding unnecessary backtracking. Before speaking to the NPC, ensure your inventory is stocked with the required materials: 5,500 Lumens, 155,000 Yen, and one each of Iron, Cursed Iron, Cursed Flesh, and a Heavenly Fragment. Most of these items, particularly the metals and fragments, are obtained through raid crates.
Step 1: The Four Sealed Red Gates
The first half of the quest requires you to visit four specific locations known as Sealed Gates (Red Gates) and offer items. You can complete these in any order, but keep in mind that the costs vary significantly.
Sealed Gate I: Located in the Mountain Plains area. Climb the right cliffs of the central mountain (Coords: 967, 334, 958). Sacrifice: 1,000 Lumens, 10,000 Yen, 1 Iron.
Sealed Gate II: Found behind the mountain on the beach. Use TP6 to reach the area easily (Coords: 4061, -43, -315). Sacrifice: 1,500 Lumens, 15,000 Yen, 1 Cursed Iron.
Sealed Gate III: Near the lake, accessible via TP3 (Coords: -921, -13, -885). Sacrifice: 3,000 Lumens, 30,000 Yen, 1 Cursed Flesh.
Sealed Gate IV: The most hidden gate. Near the Sorcery Heavenly Restrictor NPC, look for a large log over the lake. Jump into the water at the corner of the lake to find the hidden area (Coords: 1138, -196, -456). Sacrifice: 100,000 Yen, 1 Heavenly Fragment.
Step 2: Finding All 10 Blue Gate Locations
Once the red portals are satisfied, return to the Lazy Sorcerer to initiate the second phase: deactivating 10 Fog Sealed Gates, commonly referred to as Blue Gates. According to community reports, these are primarily concentrated in the Mountain Plains region and are significantly easier to locate than their red counterparts.
Blue Gate I: 201, 98, 978
Blue Gate II: 8, 293, 713
Blue Gate III: 632, 258, 789
Blue Gate IV: 1293, 509, 895
Blue Gate V: 1819, 627, 1724
Blue Gate VI: 268, 93, 120
Blue Gate VII: 529, 374, 1572
Blue Gate VIII: 910, 476, 1608
Blue Gate IX: 1243, 598, 1802
Blue Gate X: 1820, 627, 1726
Simply interact with these gates to clear the fog. Once all ten are deactivated, you have officially completed the quest requirements.
Accessing the Elevator
With the questline finished, you now have permanent access to the elevator that leads to the Tomb of the Stars. You can find this elevator within the Jujutsu Tech area. Head toward the Grade Ascension NPC and walk straight toward the edge of the map; the elevator is situated behind a large tree at coordinates -1327, 104, 2097.
Tip
Do not delay this quest. Even if you currently possess a strong clan, swapping clans is a common part of the game's progression. Having the Tomb of the Stars unlocked ensures you can quickly pivot to the new meta without having to grind the questline later.
Why the Tomb of the Stars Matters
The value of this area cannot be overstated. It provides a "Vow Exchanger" where you can trade three Tier 3 Vows for one Tier 4 Vow. This is essential for endgame efficiency, as Tier 4 Vows are optimized for high-level raid performance. Furthermore, the Infinity Exchange allows you to convert Infinity tokens into essential resources, making this the primary hub for long-term character development.
Is the quest bugged if I can't find the last Red Gate?
It is not bugged; it is simply hidden. Many players struggle with the fourth Red Gate because it requires jumping into the water near the log at the lake. If you haven't reached that specific hidden area, the quest will appear incomplete.
Can I use the elevator without finishing the quest?
Only players currently running the Tengen Clan can use the elevator without completing the quest. All other players must finish the Lazy Sorcerer's tasks to gain access.
What should I do if I run out of Yen during the quest?
The quest requires a total of 155,000 Yen. If you are short, focus on farming raid crates or completing daily objectives before starting the quest to avoid having to stop halfway through.
